Using GPS

While law enforcement requires a court order to install a GPS, there is currently no prohibition of this technology being used in the private sector.  However, one must be aware of trespass laws; trying to place a GPS device on a vehicle parked on private property is a recipe for trouble.

Restraining order devices

There is a new device out to monitor restraining orders. Both parties wear a bracelet that is connected to GPS.  Whenever the two bracelets get closer than the orders dictate, an alarm is sent out to law enforcement.
